Breathe
Have you ever noticed that we hardly even have time to breathe? Have we forgotten what an amazing gift this is? I, for one, am going back to the basics. A purpose filled life is one of self-discovery. I feel the need to rediscover the basic practice of breathing. Every being starts out life with a breath. So, I am committing to starting my day off with one single, bellowing breath that will give my body the ability to process/digest whatever it needs. I am amazed when I receive peace and clarity by simply breathing. With this practice, we can draw strength, clarity and purpose. It feels like being a the top of a peak. Peace can be found at the most fundamental place of life, the breath. So much to think about throughout the day, so much cunnundrum and chaos, but it can all be wiped away and refocused as we find time to breathe... Nothing more, nothing less.
Life is good.
God gave man the breath of life, we can find Him there. He is in that place. The most dramatic events of our life happen here, the first and last breath. What an amazing gift and we take it for granted. We can run marathons, run corporations, run to the store and with all that running, we cannot manage to take time to just breathe. The oxygen that we put into our lungs sustains this world we live in. If we pretend to live as if it isn't there, we are suffocating our existence. I hope I can place an intention this day to focus on this very simple, yet lucrative aspect of my life. I will stop. I will breathe. I can be.
