Waste no time and time will tell

Good Morning!

I don't even think good is a proper word for the we way I have been feeling lately! I am GREAT, AMAZING, ASTOUNDING, OVER THE MOON, I CAN CONQUER THE WORLD! Yes, I can and yes I will. I will just do it one little brick at a time, it may take a while because I really don't know anything about Masonry, or blogging for that matter. I think of the Egyptian pyramids, or the Mayan temples, or even the Great Wall of China and how they came to be. I mean, those were times when only the most rudimentary tools were used to construct and the human body was the vehicle to edify these structures, with the help of a few animals of course. These are considered the Wonders of the World. The things that take the longest are always the ones to stand the test of time. I love that idea. It took effort, and with all that blood, sweat and tears, they stand as a testament of the will, strength and the ability that human beings posses.

Really though. Ponder this...

The wonders of the world have stuck with us and still amaze us.It is so because we are human and we can feel the trials, the pain, and the burdensome task which occurred to bring about such beauty!

What are we doing for our own foundation? Are we postponing and waiting until "the ducks are in a row"? Many of us wait until a disaster happens before we even create a plan. Likewise, I find myself putting things off that are fundamental in my life and could help me become stronger because I don't have the "right tools" or I'm not "savvy" enough to embark on it, because I don't want to go "down that rabbit hole". Let me make something clear: There will always be a better way, but that way may not be our way, because in order to understand the "better" way you have to start. I grew up in the Nike "Just do IT!" Era. Why is that phrase so fundamental? Well, I think a lot of us just have a hard time taking that initial step to build that foundation. If you don't trust yourself, how will you ever be able to trust anyone? We can be great and have the ability to withstand the test of time, if we embark on that journey and have faith in the end result. This process could change the world for the better. The journey I speak of is self improvement. I can't imagine that there wasn't a mistake made in the process of creating these magnificent edifices. These pillars of strength and prodigious stature originated from something as simple as a brick, stone or something even more ordinary. What makes it praise worthy is the process that it underwent, the arduous nature of it's course. That is what makes it WORTH WHILE. Are you willing to make that sacrifice? It is necessary for us to undergo such processes in order to have confidence in ourselves. If we are to become Agents of Change, we have to know that we WILL, and that it is not and EVENT, this is a lifelong pursuit and a process. We are not Olympians, however amazing they may be, their entire career is for one EVENT. We are running the course of TIME. What will we do with it? We need to effect change not only in our world but in the lives of others. I think of the fate that Noah the prophet embarked on! He did change the fate of the world. He had to endure the test of time, and for that he was preserved. I know that no matter how insurmountable the task, there will be a way for us to achieve it. What will your way be? Don't wait! If we are to be tested by time, then we must start now. Make your time count! Be the change that you want to see in the world!
