On Women, essentially.
I am a mother.
I am a wife.
I am an eternal being with divine purposes.
I define myself by the things that I revolve around like family and faith. I can find worth in being a righteous woman and living in a way that is feminine.
Femininity is not subservience...
I love the words of Margaret D. Nadauld former Young Women general president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, when speaking of womanhood, she states;
"I am inspired by the lives of good and faithful women. From the beginning of time the Lord has placed significant trust in them. He has sent us to earth for such a time as this to perform a grand and glorious mission. The Doctrine and Covenants teaches, even before they were born, they, with many others, received their first lessons in the world of spirits and were prepared to come forth in the due time of the Lord to labor in his vineyard for the salvation of the souls of men” (D&C 138:56). What a wonderful vision that gives us of our purpose on earth."

We have a purpose that is so profound and that men could never have, and that is the one of bearing children. It is a divine process and one, if embraced, that will ultimately sanctify us the most. For women that aren't able to bear children, the world looks a little different, but their role is as profound as those of us that have the duty to bring forth the next generation of spirits. Our roles as women are to be the nurtures in society and to educate our/other's children in faith! It takes a village. Women make an incredible impact in any culture, and many times can do things just as well or maybe even better than men. Women are strong workers/believers because of their inherent need to nurture and teach, they can also be responsible for the energy and spirit of any place. You know how it is "if mom's mad, the whole house shuts down".
So what is our role in the Priesthood?
To use it. To activate it. To live by faith for God's word to remain.
The patriarchal order was set by God. He will not submit to our worldly views on Feminism. We can find worth and value by saying that we help men take responsibility over their priesthood. We don't have to make it ours to empower ourselves. What more could we ask for? The proclamation on the family states that "“Gender is an essential characteristic of individual premortal, mortal, and eternal identity and purpose.”( The Proclamation on the Family, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1995). In all fairness, there is no way to make everything in this life "fair". Fairness is relative especially when it comes to our gender roles. The only way to really understand our purpose as women is to live in love and service for others and to see the fruit that flourishes from the seeds we have planted into the hearts of men. Men would cease to exist if it weren't for women. They need us and we need them. May we all be grateful for the eternal plan of happiness, that we will be living in peace again with our father in Heaven and that we will be glorified for having surpassed the cunning of men. Good men give credit to the women in their lives. Abraham Lincoln said "All that I am or ever hope to be I owe to my angel mother."
