Chastity
I was taken away in thought, while I was showering the other day...About being morally clean in particular, Sex before marriage. I was thinking about the excuses that people use to justify sexual sins.
I am particularly interested in the precept that experimentation leads to more knowledge and better sex. NOT! Let's think about that for a minute. God made us individuals and therefore, different in all aspects, right? Therefore, no matter how many times you get to experiment, you still have a clean palate to work on every time. I think time with one companion is truly the variable that makes the difference. Here's why:
1. You never have anyone to compare them to.
2. There are no reservations regarding performance nor expectations because you don't know what to expect.
3. You want to serve them because you are bound eternally, and that's a long time to not get to "know" your spouse.
4. Love is patient, love is pure and kind.
5. Your mind will be opened to that which is most important as you connect intimately with one person, but that blessing comes as you adhere to the commandments of God.
6. You learn to value the person not the act.
I don't know if this is necessarily the forum to share this on, but it did come to mind and I felt that it was a good little insight to share, not that I think anyone that reads my blogs would have this particular problem, but hey, it's the world, wide web...my blog is private LOL :-). May the Lord bless you for living according to His will. That is my wish for all of us. To obey His commandments.
